Itinerary 8 days, 7 nights.
Day 1.
Fly from your departure airport and on arrival in Ponta Delgada transfer directly to Caloura Hotel Resort  journey time 45 minutes
Day 2 Walking tour of Ponta Delgada.
Half day walking tour of Ponta Delgada. Take in  the historic sights and sounds of this wonderful old town. We start the city tour walking along the main avenue up until Mercado da Graça where we can find regional products, from pineapple to cheese. Then we continue to the city centre where we will discover our monuments and their history, which characterize our city and our people.
During the city tour we'll make a stop for comfort. After the stop, we continue walking towards Campo de São Francisco, where the festivities of Mr. Santo Cristo dos Milagres (2nd largest religious festival in the country) take place, where we also find the Fort of São Brás, the statue of Emigrant, the Church of São José and the Convento da Esperança.
Day 3 Jeep tour Sete Cidades half day.
Experience the beauty of Sete Cidades on this half day jeep tour. Here you will see the unique blue and green lakes of Sete Cidades and its beautiful town.
Day 4 Free day.
Take time to enjoy this wonderful hotel and its spectacular location.
Day 5 Whale watching half day.
Transfer to Ponta Delgada where you will board the whale watching boat and enjoy the wonders of dolphin and whale watching. Don't forget to wear shoes with a rubber sole, a waterproof bag if you intend to take a camera or phone and a waterproof jacket.
Day 6 Jeep Tour Furnas And Terra Nostra Gardens.
Enjoy this full day jeep tour of Furnas and the famous Terra Nostra Gardens. Here you will experience the wonderful town of Furnas where boiling hot water springs from the ground and fumarole's of steam rise. Next onto the breath taking garden of Terra Nostra where you will be able to bathe in the natural hot thermal waters and explore these beautiful gardens. Don't forget to take your swimming costume and towel!
Day 7 Jeep tour to Lagoa do Fogo half day.
Departure from Ponta Delgada along the south coast towards Pico da Barrosa and stop at the viewpoint of Lagoa do Fogo. After admiring the landscape, descend to Caldeira Velha, with possibility of thermal bath in springs of water (entrance not included). Then, the route continues along the secondary roads to Ribeira Grande Caldeiras, where it is possible to admire the phenomena of secondary volcanism to the surface. Return to Ponta Delgada is done by the north coast of the island
Day 8 Fly Home.
