From £78.26 Per Person. Full Day
Details
Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park
This Canyoning begins with a 40-minute journey to the Northeast part of the island, passing through one of the only commercial tea plantations in Europe.
Arriving at the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park, the Canyoning activity begins with the distribution of the equipment to the participants, followed by a short walk of about 20 minutes, until the entrance to the section of the stream, where the safety briefing takes place.
During the Canyoning route there are vertical obstacles (waterfalls) whose transposition will have to be done with the technique of abseiling (largest waterfall with 8 meters) and jumps, alternating with small walking sections and a more playful area (slide / toboggan).
After lunch, the challenge extends to the bottom of the stream and we start to have waterfalls about 13 meters high, which will be crossed using the technique of rappelling.
More waterfalls, more fun!
Or:
Salto do Cabrito
We'll exit Ponta Delgada, in the direction of Salto do Cabrito, in Ribeira Grande, through the narrowest part of the island, which connects the south coast to the north coast.
When we arrive at the site, the activity begins with the distribution of the equipment to the participants, followed by a walk of about 15 minutes, up to the entry point, where the briefing takes place.
Along the canyoning, there is a sequence of 3 vertical obstacles (waterfalls) whose transposition will be done with the technique of rappelling (highest waterfall with 15 meters), alternating with walking, where we will have the chance to observe the nature around us and a old hydroelectric power station.
This is a more technical canyoning, but full of adrenaline.
