Canoeing and Terra Nostra Gardens at Furnas

The activity starts with canoeing at Lagoa das Furnas, where we will go by canoe to the centre of the lagoon, here we can see part of the crater of one of the volcanoes that shaped our island. We continue our canoeing activity to the opposite bank where we will see a neo-Gothic style chapel built in the 19th century. XIX. Finally, we follow the margin until we get back to the starting point.
At the end of the canoeing tour, it is possible to make a short stop to enjoy the fumaroles, an area where the traditional Portuguese Stew is made.
After lunch in a restaurant in the parish of Furnas, where we will taste the Cozido, the visit to Terra Nostra Park follows. This is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens, where you can find species of flora from different regions of the world. After a short guided walk through the paths and alleys of the garden, a thermal bath in the iron water pool is recommended. After this moment of leisure, we return to Ponta Delgada.

Swimsuit, practical shoes that can get wet (eg sandals), towel, hat, sunscreen, backpack, food / water backup and a change of clothes to wear after the activity. Recommended equipment :
Slippers, water, sunscreen, waterproof bag (for storing mobile phones and / or cameras).
